Sunbug 6650394 is coming along nicely - both in terms of votes and supportive comments. At the time of writing, it has 99 votes, so thank you if you took the trouble to vote! If you care and you haven't yet voted or commented, please consider doing so.
I was hoping the bug would make it into Sun's Top 25 Bugs list since it has more votes than most of the bugs in that list, but for some reason it's not yet included. If the list was accurate, which it clearly isn't, then 6650394 would be the 11th most popular sunbug.
You are 25th most popular RFE.
ReplyDeleteIts number 25 on the RFE list.
ReplyDeleteActually as an RFE it should appear here:
ReplyDeletehttp://bugs.sun.com/top25_rfes.do
and it's just appeared as the last entry.
Sun splits it into two lists: bugs (things that are certifiably broken, like memory leaks) and Requests for Enhancements (like "Hey Sun, support Java on Linux").
ReplyDeleteThe OSGi "bug" is #25 on the RFE list, because it is an RFE not a bug.
Hi, Glyn.
ReplyDeleteThis bug is in the "Top 25 RFE" page (http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/top25_rfes.do). I suppose it is there because it's considered an enhancement.
Regards,
Xavi
Thanks everyone for the clarification! "When is a sunbug not a bug? When it's an RFE."
ReplyDeleteMost popular bug? Can bugs be popular? :-)
ReplyDeleteKind regards,
Peter Kriens
Maybe "infamous" would be more accurate. :-)
